Description
The Phoenix Zoo is currently seeking a supervisor for our ZooLights Team. This position is responsible for the research and technical production, installation, maintenance and storage of lighting fixtures; electronics, and music systems for ZooLights and other Zoo events. This includes managing the department inventory and budget, overseeing creative direction, and maintaining on-sight technical support during ZooLights, as well as direct supervision and management of ZooLights staff. The supervisor will also conduct on-going research of lighting and production techniques including, but not limited to projected visuals, interactive software, object-based lighting design and intelligent lighting to keep ZooLights at the forefront of light show technology.

Education and Pre-requisites
Minimum qualifications for this position include three years’ experience in a supervisory capacity, strong electrical and fabrication skills, strong communications and interpersonal skills, experience in sound and lighting technology, and the ability to work varied shifts as needed. All Phoenix Zoo employees are required to pass pre-employment background checks including a drug test, this position will also require annual TB testing and a valid driver’s license.
