RainForest Adventures, located in the Smoky Mountains of Tennessee, has a full-time position for a motivated senior keeper to work with various species of animals. Our varied collection includes small mammals, including primates, prosimians, domestic hoof stock, birds, reptiles and amphibians with an emphasis on tropical species.

Senior Keeper Responsibilities include daily maintenance of the animal collection, direct interaction with the general public, and the over sight of the keeping staff.
Specialization in one specific area of animal husbandry is acceptable but the applicant will be required to oversee & maintain various species of zoo animals.

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to diet preparation, training, behavioral enrichment, assist with medical needs, daily records and help with habitat maintenance.
Ideal candidate will possess strong public relations skills and the ability to address both small and large crowds.

The ideal candidate would possess a background in management.

Education and Pre-requisites

Five years paid animal husbandry experience.
