Description
Six-month fall/winter internship. Candidate will be responsible for daily animal husbandry including diet preparation and feedings, enclosure cleaning, assist with habitat building and provide educational presentations to the public.
Education and Pre-requisites
*Ability to interface with the public
*Minimum of two (2) years of related studies in biology, zoology or animal husbandry
*Prior animal husbandry experience
*Must have valid driver’s license and own vehicle
*Must be willing to work in inclement weather
*Must be able to lift 50 pounds
Compensation and benefits
This is an unpaid position. Onsite housing and all utilities are provided plus a $200.00 per month stipend.
