Description

Experience includes:
Learning proper safety procedures, diet preparation, feeding, cleaning, animal health, animal management, behavioral observations, enrichment, and record keeping for large carnivores. Interns will assist with construction and habitat modification and related activties. Interns will also be involved with the volunteer program, and both formal and informal presentations. Classes led by certified instructors for CPR, Basic First Aid and Bleeding Control will be provided. (Dependent on COVID restrictions).
**This is a strict no contact position**

Education and Pre-requisites

Experience Required:
Candidates should have either 3 years of animal related experience or at least two years of undergraduate program studies in zoology, animal management, biology, or a related field. International applications are welcome. Interns must be able to perform regular, strenuous duties in over 100 degree weather and must be able to lift 50 lbs. You must present yourself in a professional manner.

Compensation and benefits

Unpaid. Housing and local vehicle access/use are provided.

If you have related internship or volunteer experience, we highly recommend including a letter of recommendation from that facility.
