Description

The Zoo Manager develops and implements the animal husbandry program within Wildwood Zoo. They will curate a collection of animals, programs and interpretive exhibits to achieve the mission of the organization. The Zoo Manager is a “working supervisor”; they will direct the activities of staff while also being able to independently complete those duties when required. The Zoo Manager must be willing and capable of being the “face” of the Zoo within the community.

Education and Pre-requisites

Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent in animal care, environmental, or biological field required.

Compensation and benefits

Pay range: $26.83 (min) – $29.82 (mid). The City offers a full benefits package including health/vision, dental, long term disability, flexible spending accounts, 457 Deferred Compensation Plan, and WRS retirement plan.
