Description
This position provides exceptional animal care including life support and veterinary assistance, husbandry, training and enrichment, and is also responsible for general maintenance, housekeeping and groundskeeping at the zoo.
Education and Pre-requisites
Graduation from an accredited college or university with an Associate’s degree or two years of technical training in Animal Science, Biology, Psychology, Wildlife Studies, Zoology or related field and at least six months of related experience; or any equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the following knowledge, ability and skills:
• Animal care and feeding practices.
• Materials, methods (including animal restraint) and equipment used for daily care, medical care, grounds keeping, aquatic life support and plumbing.
• Applicable safety measures and precautions.

Union Non-Exempt
Grade F $17.87 – $24.95
