ZooWorld, a 5-acre zoological park located in beautiful Panama City Beach, is accepting applications for their Summer Internship Program.

What’s In It For You?
Interns will receive hands-on experience while assisting zookeepers in their daily duties and can expect to gain knowledge in daily husbandry practices, exotic animal healthcare, behavioral enrichment, nutrition, exhibit design, record keeping, behavior, and animal handling. Zoo World Interns can expect to strengthen and develop their inter-personal skills through daily guest/animal ambassador experiences.
ZooWorld provides a series of seminars for its summer interns to augment their hands-on learning experiences. Each week a new topic directly related to developing zookeeping skills or understanding exotic animal care will be taught.

Education and Pre-requisites

During the course of the program, interns will be expected to assist zookeepers in every aspect of their daily routine. This will include working outdoors in all weather conditions, assisting and educating zoo guests, diet preparations, and manual labor (You MUST be able to lift 50 lbs and walk for long periods of time without rest).
Internships must be three months in length and require a minimum of three scheduled eight-hour days per week. All vacation requests must be approved BEFORE being accepted into the internship program.
