Denver Zoo’s Animal Care department has an opportunity for a full time Predator Keeper to provide the safe exhibition, handling, feeding, and husbandry of animals in the Predator Department. The Predator Department is responsible for the care of animals in the El Pomar Foundation Village Hall and Predator Ridge exhibits. The Village Hall area houses clouded leopards, fishing cats, Asian small-clawed otters, white-cheeked gibbons, Indian hornbills, Sarus cranes, and several reptile species. Predator Ridge is an award-winning rotational exhibit, housing African social carnivores including African lions, spotted hyena, and African wild dogs; the team also cares for cheetah. This position will work primarily in the Village Hall area, but may occasionally serve as relief for Predator Ridge. Candidates should have two years animal care experience and should specify on their application their particular experience with these taxa and their experience in animal training and presentations.
