Description

RESPONSIBILITIES
-Overseeing the welfare of the exotic and domestic animals in Peoria Zoo’s Collection.
-Participating in behavioral enhancement and training for the animal collection.
-Maintaining accurate records and paperwork necessary for animal population in human care.
-Supporting all aspects of Peoria Park District safety procedures.

Education and Pre-requisites

SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATES WILL HAVE
-Must be at least 18 years of age.
-Four year college degree in related field.
-Requires Class “D” driver’s license.
-One year of full-time experience in the care and maintenance of wild and/or domestic animals preferred.

Compensation and benefits

Part Time / Pay Rate $14.00 per hour

-Ability to work evening, weekend and holiday hours. Approximately 24 hours per week.
