Duties include opening and closing the zoo on weekends/weekdays, animal care duties for the zoo’s live animal collection, animal diet preparation, cleans enclosures and exhibits, supervises volunteers and interns who assist with park maintenance and cleaning, record keeping, handles visitor questions and provides quality customer service, assists with zoo programs and special events.

WORK SCHEDULE:
Bear Hollow Zoo – Up to 29 hours per week during park operating hours. Variable schedule that includes weekends & weekdays 8:30 am to 5:30 pm. additional hours may be necessary depending on zoo programs, veterinary issues, meetings, etc.

Education and Pre-requisites

Minimum Training & Experience Required to Perform Essential Job Functions:

High School education and public relations and cash handling experience is required; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this position.

Must possess a valid driver’s license.
