Description
Outreach Educator and handler. Must be comfortable speaking in public handling a variety of Animals. Small mammals, birds and reptiles. Must be able to lift up to 50#. Independently conduct traveling animal outreach presentations for a variety of venues (such as schools, libraries, businesses, senior communities/care centers, corporate and special events, fairs).
Ability to work a flexible schedule which may include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Strong planning and organizational skills with the ability to balance and prioritize tasks, be prompt and on time for events and present in a professional manner.
Maintain a non-smoking work environment.
Adherence to company personal appearance standards.
Education and Pre-requisites
Bachelors degree in Zoology or related preferred. A minimum of one year experience in a zoological setting. A working knowledge of choice based and positive reinforcement conditioning preferred.
Must successfully pass a background check and must have a valid, current driver’s license, and a good driving record.
Will be required to remain up to date with testing and vaccinations for the safety of the animals, such as yearly TB testing.

This position is Full Time: Hourly starts at $20.00 hour
