The Opportunity:

This position will report to the Director, Direct Response Fundraising. The Manager will oversee the planning and execution of day-to-day strategy regarding the mid-level Patrons program at WCS.

Responsibilities:

With the Director, plan and execute direct marketing campaigns (including but not limited to mail, telemarketing and email) in line with the program’s strategic and revenue goals.

Oversee day-to-day production of campaigns, with assistance from outside vendors and internal support, and make certain mail/send dates are met.

Track donors through renewal cycles and solicit for upgrades on a personal level, as needed.

Work to promote the Patrons program through donor communications and within the parks.

Serve as the organization’s contact for mid-level Patrons donors, giving high-quality member care via phone and/or email, or in-person as needed. Provide high-end service, answer any questions and serve as a “concierge” for the donors in the program.

Work with internal and external data teams to continually find new donors for this audience.

Work with internal gift officers to determine when donors are ready to move up to Major Gifts.

Ensure data processing and audience segmentation is correct and clean for all campaigns.

Track expenses to budget, and work with Director to ensure revenue goals are met.

Trouble-shoot gift processing and acknowledgement issues.

Prepare reports and financial analyses as needed.

Organize and staff special calls, events or invitations for Patrons audience as needed

Work with the internal Events team to organize and plan on-site donor events.

Interaction with donors will be required.

Education and Pre-requisites

Qualification Requirements

• 5+ years’ experience working in direct marketing, philanthropy or development. Project management experience strongly preferred.
• Experience managing multiple projects with varying deadlines, with many stakeholders, both internal and external.
• Customer service or donor care experience is strongly preferred.
• Salesforce experience a plus; CRM experience required (RaisersEdge, TA, Blackbaud, etc.).
• Comfortable with fast-paced work environment, and demonstrated ability to solve problems, ability to meet tight deadlines, multi-task, and manage resources effectively.
• Budget and reporting experience preferred.
• Must have excellent problem solving and communication skills.
• Ability to build consensus and work effectively across departments.
• Experience managing relationships with agencies and outside partners.
• Experience building emails and/or forms a plus.

Compensation and benefits

$75-100,000 DOE
Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K
$3,600 Tuition Reimbursement
