Description
This position will be responsible for all aspects of staff management within their department and answers to the director. They will be the primary point of contact for other department managers in regards to facility maintenance needs. This person will be expected to actively participate in the day to day maintenance of the zoo as well as in large scale design and renovation. The maintenance director will also be responsible for oversight of all contracted labor as well as vehicle and equipment maintenance.
Education and Pre-requisites
– A minimum of 3 years experience in a maintenance related position
– Must be able to manage and work well with staff and make logical decisions
– The ability to work flexible hours, to include some nights, weekends and holidays
– Must be able to complete job responsibilities with no restrictions
Preference will be given to those with:
– Experience in exhibit design or
– Experience in exhibit construction
Compensation and benefits
$31,000 – $39,000 DOEQ
