Description
Wild Wonders a ZAA accredited facility, located in San Diego county, is looking for an enthusiastic, self motivated individual with good written and oral communications skills to join our team.Will also be responsible for promoting our conservation message, working to promote our global conservation partners
Responsibilities include but not limited to: oversee all aspects of daily operations such as Husbandry, behavioral enrichment, recordkeeping, customer service, onsite and offsite programs, positive reinforcement conditions, animal welfare, etc. Applicant must be availablle any seven days of the week including holidays, be physically fit and able to work in less than ideal weather conditions.
Will be interfacing with all animal care staff, interns and volunteers and implementing training , husbandry goals set forth by managers
Education and Pre-requisites
Biology or related degree preferred. Must have a minimum of 4 years Zoo experience, with at least one year in a managerial/supervisory capacity. Working knowledge of positive reinforcement, welfare assessments, record keeping,
