Description
Out of Africa Wildlife Park is offering a paid internship from February-May, 2018. Duties will include preparing and distributing diets, cleaning enclosures, habitat maintenance and construction, the creation of enrichment, behavioral observation, and record keeping. The approved applicant may also be expected to drive educational tours for the public and to give rhino keeper talks. As this internship will take place during a very busy time of the year, the approved applicant may be asked to assist other departments as needed. Schedule includes weekends, holidays, and overtime as assigned.
Education and Pre-requisites
Degree in biology or related field is preferred. Candidates pursuing their degree will also be considered. Must be comfortable learning to drive large vehicles and tractors. An outgoing, positive personality is essential as this position includes guest interaction and public speaking. Background in customer service is preferred. Experience working with large mammals or livestock is desirable.

Compensation and benefits
$10-$11 per hour depending on experience.
