Description

Duties include but not limited to:
General husbandry of ambassador collection
Behavioral enrichment
Record keeping
Presenting entertaining educational presentations onsite and offsite while
keeping animal and guest safety at the forefront
Enclosure maintenance and enhancement
Socialization and training of ambassador animals
Promoting the mission of the program
Ordering of inventory and working with suppliers and Vets
Medical supportive care
Oversight and training of interns and volunteers

Education and Pre-requisites

Requirements:
Must have a zoology degree or equivalent
One year minimum full time professional experience in a zoological setting
handling, presenting and keeping of exotics
Must be able to work in small group environment with autonomy and flexibility
Must be able to lift 50 lbs
Clean driving record
Ability to work weekends, nights and holidays

Compensation and benefits

Pay $12-$14 hr DOE
