Description
Claws ‘N’ Paws Wild Animal Park is a privately owned zoo in operation for 43 years. We are located in the Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania, about two hours from New York City and Philadelphia.
The zoo has a collection of about 120 species of mammal, reptile, and birds.
Education and Pre-requisites
Although not required, a degree in one of the biological fields is a plus.
A minimum of one year in a zoo or wild animal facility is a must.
The candidate will be in good physical condition, be able to lift and carry 50 pounds, and be able to work in the range of temperature and weather conditions found in this area.
We are looking for a person who can work on their own and also with fellow employees.
Beside the normal cleaning and feeding common to all animal care, the candidate will be expected to interact favorably with visitors, be able to give animal talks to an audience, implement enrichment, and perform some basic maintenance.
An appropriate personal appearance and willingness to learn are necessary.
