Spring Internship with housing!
Zoo World in Panama City Beach is looking for motivated and energetic personnel to participate in our Spring/Summer Internship Program. Interns will receive hands-on experience while assisting with daily keeper duties and learn about the many aspects of management for animals under human care. As the internship progresses participants will gain further knowledge in exotic healthcare, behavioral enrichment, animal nutrition, exhibit design, record keeping, animal behavior, and many other skills that are necessary for success in a modern zoo environment.

Interns will also have an opportunity to participate in animal encounters to include the American Alligator, Giraffe, Sloth, and Ruffed Lemurs as well as provide guest interactions with a variety of our small handler animals.

During the program interns are expected to assist zookeepers in almost every aspect of their day to include working in all weather conditions, assisting and educating the public, diet preparations, and manual labor. This internship is a minimum of three months and interns are required to provide a minimum of two, eight-hour work days every week and all vacations must be pre-approved prior to the start of the program. The internship start/end dates are flexible beginning from March 1 through the beginning of September. Housing is only provided to interns if they can confirm a full-time 40-hour per week schedule for a minimum of three months.
