Description
Tigers For Tomorrow is a Wild Animal Preserve, specializing in carnivores. The preserve is home to over 150 animals including equine, farmyard, small mammals and carnivores.
Interns will gain experience in food prep, husbandry and animal behavior. Interns will be responsible for cleaning, feeding, enrichment, assisting in medical procedures, guided tours and basic maintenance of enclosures.
Work is physically demanding, and being self-motivated while working in a team environment is important. Working in various weather conditions is required as well as weekends and holidays. This is a strict no contact with predators positions.
Education and Pre-requisites
Be able to lift 50 pounds
Work in outdoor conditions
Work 6 days a week from 8am-6pm, or until done,and must provide their own transportation
A degree in Zoology, Biology or related field or working towards a degree in a related field is preferred, but experience with exotic animal husbandry may be considered.
Compensation and benefits
$75.00 a week cash stipend. Housing is provided nearby.
Utilities, cable and internet provided.
