Hoofstock Keeper-Full Time
Alabama Safari Park, Hope Hull, Alabama
Alabama Safari Park, a 350-acre drive through safari and breeding facility just south of Montgomery, is hiring a full-time animal keeper. Constantly expanding, we currently care for a large collection of ungulate species and ratites. Also included are the Budgie Aviary, Kangaroo walk-about, Giraffe Feeding Area, and Lemur Island. The right candidate will have excellent observation skills and a strong work ethic. All keepers are responsible for daily care of the animals and are required to maintain animal records and assist with breeding programs.
Education and Pre-requisites
Applicant requirements:
Experience with Exotic Hoofstock or Domestic Farm Animals.
Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in all types of weather conditions
Maintain a non-smoking work environment and uphold company Tattoo policy.
Experience operating trucks, tractors, trailers, hand tools and other machinery
Valid Driver’s license
Must be available to work weekends and holidays.
Compensation and benefits
Pay: Dependent upon experience, Starting at $12/hour. Medical coverage, vacation and sick time, 401k.
