General Manager reports to Vice President of Operations and C.O.O. Responsible for day to day operations of a private zoo with a drive through and walk through areas with over 50 species and 400 animals located in Strafford, Missouri. Position will oversee 12 -20 employees. Provides direction in special projects.Represents the company in marketing functions. Responsible for oversight of human resource functions including hiring, training, payroll, invoice payments, and scheduling. Various other duties as needed.

Education and Pre-requisites

Minimum 3 years management experience. High school diploma. Prefer candidates with college degree in biology, zoology, animal husbandry, management, or related business fields. Good communication skills needed. Computer proficiency in Microsoft word, Excel, and Quickbooks. Job requires flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed averaging 45 hours per week. Good organizational skills and ability to work with the public. Good customer service skills necessary. Limited lifting and walking with the need to be able to lift 50lbs frequently. Previous experience with exotic animals a plus. Drivers licence and reliable transportation necessary.Drug free workplace, must be able to pass drug screen.

Compensation and benefits
