Description
RainForest Adventures is located in the Smoky Mountains of Tennessee. We opened in 2001. Our visitation (100,000 guests per year) is mainly comprised of tourists visiting the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, the nation’s most visited National Park. We are open every day of the year. Our facility is primarily indoors and allows us to operate in all weather conditions.
We are home to over 100 species of primarily tropical animals, including small primates, prosimians, birds, reptiles, amphibians, arachnids, as well as an outdoor area with domestic hoof stock.
A full-time job with daily duties including providing the proper animal husbandry to the varied collection including diet preparation, cleaning and maintenance of exhibits.
The ideal candidate will posses a background in actual exhibit construction, use of standard power tools and have the desire to learn advanced exhibit construction techniques including artificial rock work and theme development.
Ability to carry 50+ pounds, kneel, bend, squat, and stand for extended periods of time.
Be capable of working a flexible schedule including holidays and weekends.
Education and Pre-requisites
You are motivated and enjoy working with both co-workers and the general public. You have 3+ years of experience with captive wildlife in a public or private setting.
You are interested in a long-term career with significant upward potential.
You want to live in a state without income tax. You want to live in a state where you can actually afford your own home!

Compensation and benefits
