Description
Seeking a Full Time Commissary Keeper to manage our fresh produce kitchen at USDA standards. Daily expectations include but are not limited to; Diet preparation and delivery, Inventory control, accepting produce donations, and work with the diet supervisor & curator to create and adjust diets.
*This position does require a valid driver’s license; travel to Kroger stores is required daily to pick-up produce. Tanganyika will reimburse the Keeper for mileage.
Education and Pre-requisites
A Bachelor’s degree; or equivalent experience is preferable. Kitchen experience is required and pay is based off education and experience, this will be discussed during the interview process.
Compensation and benefits
This is a full-time position, including health insurance and an IRA match after a year. After 90 days of employment full-time keepers can participate in our accidental wellness plan through Aflac. Pay is based on experience and will be discussed during the interview process. An immediate start date is preferred. The second part of the interview is a 2-day working interview at the Wildlife Park.
