Description

This is a unique hands-on experience caring for all types of domestic and exotic animals: from bottle feeding our babies to caring for adult species. Llamas, horses, mini-donkeys, bobcats, lemurs, wallabies, and many more! These positions must be filled immediately. Internships are available from April – October. Public contact and tours is a major portion of these positions. Candidates must be dedicated individuals with knowledge of all aspects of animal care. Responsibilities include care, cleaning and maintaining a variety of birds and animal species. This is a hands-on job. You will be responsible for preparing a narrative to be presented to our visitors. You will also participate in daily equine performances and provide behind the scenes support. Many people have gone on to full time employment at Parks and Zoos all over the country.

Education and Pre-requisites

Must be at least 18 years of age and a high school graduate. Some knowledge of animal species is definitely helpful.

Compensation and benefits

Dorm-style housing, and a stipend of $50.00-$100.00 a week is offered. Laundry and WIFI is available.
