Natural Bridge Zoo located in Virginia, is seeking a full-time entry level Animal Keeper Animal Keeper Responsibilities:
:
• Daily animal husbandry including diet preparation, habitat
cleaning, etc.

• Assist with habitat building, repairs and basic maintenance
.
• Must be able to operate motor vehicles, golf carts, gators, trucks, etc

• Assist with educational presentations for school groups and special events.

• Work independently as well as with a team of other keepers.

• Participate in supply pickups offsite.

• Excellent work ethic.

Education and Pre-requisites

Previous exotic animal care experience preferred but this is an entry level keeper position, we will train the right individual.
If no animal experience 2-4 yr degree in zoology, biology or other animal related science required.

Must have valid driver’s license and ability to obtain Virginia driver’s license.

Must be able to regularly lift a minimum of 50 lbs.

Must be willing to work in inclement weather.

Flexibility in work hours depending on time of year, emergencies, etc.

Strictly adhere to NBZoo’s policy for keepers..

Compensation and benefits

Compensation based on experience and other factors.
Furnished, (also Hi speed internet, electric and water) onsite housing is sometimes available for qualified applicants.
