Description
ZooWorld Zoological Park is hiring 1 collection manager to help oversee its animal care department and grow its zoological collection. This position will help oversee a permanent staff of 5 keepers and up to 8 seasonal educators and interns as well as an animal collection of over 250 individuals.
Education and Pre-requisites
A good work ethic and a desire to be an effective leader are paramount to the success of this position. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years working with a wide variety of species. They must have developed a solid foundation of zookeeping skills and have an eye for detail. We place a strong emphasis on public speaking, so a “show” or presentation background is a plus. Strong written and oral communication skills are necessary. This is a supervisory position, so staff management will be a mandatory part of the job. All ZooWorld supervisory positions are working positions, so if you are looking for a desk job, this isn’t a good fit.
