It’s an exciting time to join the Wonders of Wildlife Team! We just finished our AZA inspection and are looking forward to furthering our contributions to animal husbandry, conservation, and research! In addition to that we just increased our starting wage for all keeper levels and added more team members to our Life Sciences Department! We are currently searching for multiple keepers (levels 1 and/or 2) to join our amazing Bird, Mammal, and Reptile Department. One position will work with our Penguins, bats, snakes, and our on-site ambassador animals. Another position will work with our Otters, Flamingos, Ducks and Turtles. The third position is a swing position that also includes traveling to our sister location, Dogwood Canyon, to take care of trout, snakes, and inverts. The people that fill these roles should have a willingness to work hard, to share new ideas, to help their teammates succeed, and a desire to grow their knowledge and skills in animal husbandry. Education and Pre-requisites

Typically requires a combination of education and experience. Animal Keeper’s typically have a Bachelor’s degree in Biology or similar field and some experience working in a professional animal facility.
Previous experience working with birds, mammals, reptiles, amphibians, and insects required.

Compensation and benefits

Pay is commensurate with experience. Keeper I role starts at $16/hour.
