Description

ZooWorld Zoological Park is a 5 acre facility located just minutes from the white sandy beaches of Florida’s Emerald Coast.
Seeking highly motivated and innovative individuals to fill several seasonal Zoo Keeper 1 positions.
These positions will care for a variety exotic animals, while gaining hands on experience and training in a fast paced diverse environment.
As part of the ZooWorld team, you will be required to work a schedule that includes weekends and holidays, and perform highly physical work on a daily basis.

Education and Pre-requisites

Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
High school graduate or equivalent.
Good interpersonal and communications skills.
Must be able to interact with guests in a courteous and professional manner.
Must be able to learn and integrate information, knowledge, and direction quickly.
Must be reliable and show initiative.
Able to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.

Preference will be given to candidates with:
Bachelor’s degree or college coursework in relevant biological field or equivalent.
Six months or more at an animal care facility.
Experience handling, feeding, caring for and conditioning psittacines.
Experience handling, feeding and caring for reptiles.
Experience with public presentation.

Compensation and benefits

Seasonal Zookeeper Level 1 will be compensated: $10.00/hr
