Description
The Phoenix Zoo is seeking part-time Instructors to assist with the development and presentation of interpretive education programs about the natural world. Instructors must have availability to work nighttime shifts during the Night Camp season (September-May) and assist with other events such as birthday parties, group events and special events as needed. Instructors will also assist in the development of education programs for groups of all sizes and ages based on Arizona science standards.
Education and Pre-requisites
Minimum requirements for this position include the ability to speak with confidence, clarity, and enthusiasm to audiences of all ages and to groups of all sizes, experience working with children in an educational setting (formal or informal) preferred, ability to work a flexible schedule, ability to obtain Food Handler’s License within 1 month of hire date, high energy; enthusiastic; organized; excellent time management and guest service skills, a strong interest in the natural world, and a valid driver’s license. All Phoenix Zoo employees are required to pass pre-employment background checks including a drug test, this position will also require annual TB testing.
