Description
Animal Keeper
Immediate opening! A keeper position was added in 2022 and we excited to grow our team!
The Keeper position involves working with, and cross training, on a variety of taxa including mammals, birds and ectotherms. In addition to husbandry and maintaining naturalistic exhibits, the ideal candidate will be a keeper who has experience with a variety of small and large animals.
Education and Pre-requisites
Bachelor’s degree or graduation from two-year college program focused on animal husbandry. Experience in routine animal husbandry as in a zoo, aquarium or closely related activity.
Compensation and benefits
Compensation: Keeper level, $19.30/hour and up, DOE
Schedule: 5 days a week based on business need, generally with Tues/Wed off – 40 hours/work week.
