Description

This position will be responsible for metal welding and fabrication for Tanganyika Wildlife Park. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to; general repairs, renovations, construction, maintenance to any buildings, structures, exhibits, equipment, vehicles, and other facilities at the Tanganyika Wildlife Park.

Duties will vary daily and may include tasks as welding, fabrication, general repair, maintenance, carpentry, plumbing/electrical/HVAC, fencing, painting, site work and excavating. You may be required to operate construction equipment such as a skid steer, high loader, trencher…etc. as needed to complete these tasks.

Education and Pre-requisites

High School Graduate, with vocational or technical training in welding, equipment repair or trade. 2 years of education or degree in the related field is preferred. OR 3-5 Years of relevant experience as a maintenance worker or tradesman.

Must possess or be eligible to obtain a valid KS driver’s license within 60 days of start date.

Compensation and benefits

This is a full-time position, including health insurance then an IRA match after a year. After 90 days of employment individuals can participate in our accidental wellness plan through Aflac. Pay is based on experience and will be discussed during the interview process. An immediate start date is preferred.
