Description

Safe Haven Wildlife Sanctuary, located in northern Nevada, provides lifelong care for surrendered, abandoned and confiscated exotics and interim care for native wildlife eligible for reintroduction.
Candidate will be responsible for daily animal husbandry including diet preparation and feedings, implementing an enrichment and operant conditioning program, enclosure cleaning, regular grounds upkeep, maintaining animal care records, habitat building and onsite educational presentations.

Education and Pre-requisites

Minimum of two (2) years of related studies in biology, zoology or animal science.
Ability to interface with the public.
Prior animal husbandry experience.
Must have valid driver’s license and own vehicle.
Must be willing to work in inclement weather and lift 50 lbs.

Compensation and benefits

A monthly stipend and free housing including utilities and phone is provided.
Starting date is negotiable.
