AAZK Professional Development manages the program for AAZK National Conferences via the AAZK Director for Professional Development and Conference Manager including solicitation and selection of Papers, Posters, Workshops and Professional Certificate Course content. AAZK Professional Development provides peer review of solicited and submitted materials to ensure professional content in the interest of the AAZK membership.
Professional Certificate Courses
Beginning in 2014, the AAZK Professional Development Committee introduced advanced training workshops to the AAZK National Conference program. These courses consist of twelve hours of classroom instruction and testing, which results in the awarding of a professional certificate. In 2015, the Program was expanded to three courses and continues to coordinate 12-hour destination learning at the AAZK National Conference rebranded and presented as Professional Certificate Courses. Professional Certificate Courses are taught by a combination of Subject Matter Experts gleaned from the Conference Host Facility, AZA TAGs/SSPs and AAZK Committees.
