The City of Great Bend announces a vacancy for a zookeeper at the Great Bend Brit Spaugh Zoo. This position will be responsible for the daily care, feeding, observation and documentation of the animals in the zoo.

The City of Great Bend announces a vacancy for a zookeeper at the Great Bend Brit Spaugh Zoo. This position will be responsible for the daily care, feeding, observation and documentation of the animals in the zoo.
Duties include the feeding and watering of zoo animals, cage and exhibit cleaning, preparation of animal diets, providing assistance in administering veterinary care, conducting zoo tours, special event planning, and general grounds maintenance.
Work hours are dependent on established operating hours, and include weekend and holiday work.

Requirements
Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and at least one year of animal care in a zoological park setting. Associates Degree in zookeeping, biology, zoology or closely related field will be preferable
Compensation
Full health insurance.
