Description
The Mini Zoo at the Newark Museum is home to more than100 live animals, representing 50 exotic species. Our 13 exhibits are indoors and are the homes of small animals native to habitats throughout the world, encompassing fish, invertebrates, reptiles, mammals and birds and small primates. The collection also contains over 30 exotic animals used exclusively for educational programs. The Mini Zoo provides the finest in veterinary and nutritional care, in addition to a behavioral husbandry program consisting of training and enrichment.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to cleaning animal cages and exhibits, feeding animals and preparing diets, minor veterinary procedures, and creating animal enrichment.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Graduate of a two or four-year degree program with a concentration in Science is required. One weekend day and a four-hour shift on all holidays are required.
