Internship: Animal Educator, Presentor, tours

Description

Internships are level 1 and level 2 internships.   We are ideally looking for a level 2 internship.   Someone who has had some previous experience, presenting, wildlife education and handling small animals.   Will consider those with little to no experience if they show themselves as quick learners,  outgoing personality but a team player,  comfortable with public speaking  comfortable with small animals from chinchillas to snakes etc.

Internship will be in all areas but specifically we are looking for someone we feel would excel as a presenter and do well in the public  eye.  This includes everything from doing tours on site,  to preschools to assemblies to festivals.  

Responsibilities

Other areas you will also be working in include:  animal care, cleaning, prep, organizing, vet.

Must be able to retain info,  lift 50lbs,  multi-task,  outgoing personality, good verbal skills,  willing to learn,   adaptable,  positive attitude.

You will be asked to present in the interview process.

Compensation

6-months internships  housing and $50 stipend once initial training is meet (usually 1-2 weeks)
3-month internships;  housing but no stipend pay
